Ta Prohm is da bomb

Our first day of templing was quite a success. We visited many of the smaller temples and finished with Ta Prohm (the one from tomb raider that looks exactly like the movie and makes me want to be Lara Croft). There isn't much to say about the temples that you can't find on the internet already (as usual, click on the title of the post for the info link) so I'm going to say a thousand words with each one of these pictures I took.

It was amazing to see perfectly intact wall carvings right next to massive structural damage.

You see the massive temples and gape in awe, but the walls are all breathtakingly detaied with scenes of life, battle and celebration. Truly a remarkable concept, to think of the hours and peoplepower and expertise required to cover all of Angkor...

Just escaping from sight on the right hand side if you look closely is a monkey. Also, you might be interested to know that ANGKOR TEMPLES ARE RIGHT BEHIND YOU AND YOU ARE ALL JUST STARING AT A MONKEY WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Reoccurring paradigm of Cambodia = 3x kid + 1 x dog.

The jungle surrounding the temple was of equal beauty.
